Support Group For Palestine
Sumud is not only individual, it is collective, and it calls on our brotherhood and sisterhood, standing hand in hand, so that we may affirm our existence, fully, with whatever creativity and expression, aspiration and emotion that entails. Together we create a circle of safety, to share. Feeling tired? Feeling overwhelmed? Feeling enraged? Feeling heartbroken? Feeling stirred to speak, to express, to take action? You are not alone. Who is this group for:
Anyone no matter what nationality, religion, race or background who would like a safe space to process their feelings with a community. We beat as one heart, together we heal and build Sumud
Group Guidelines:
– This is strictly a pro -Palestinian and pro freedom group
– We start on time
– It is an online group. Camera on is mandatory
Everything shared in the group is sacred and confidentiality is upheld to the utmost degree.
Please honor the space and the confidentiality of someone else’s shared experience. We are here to listen and to be heard. No analysis. No judgement.
As we share our feelings and experience, resist the urge to give advice and instead, breathe in and breathe out, simply be with whatever is being expressed, and honour it with your listening presence.
Please share responsibly and respect the time limit given at the start of the group, allowing everyone the space to share.
We aim to accept people as they are with no judgment.
We have the right to share and speak but we also have the right to not say anything at all. Whatever feels needed. We pass on sharing.
Please exercise the sacred silence during the share. Do not interrupt others. There is healing in being heard and healing in listening without needing ‘to do’ anything. Our presence is our power.
Be aware of your own feelings and what comes up for you
Do not discuss a participant who in not in the group
No bullying, violence, aggressive behavior, threats or racial comments.
